Our Doctors

Dr. Wesley Arnold
I originally hail from Tonawanda, NY (just outside of Buffalo) and bleed red, blue, and gold for our sports teams (Bills and Sabres). I attended SUNY Geneseo (between Buffalo and Rochester) where I received my B.A. in Chemistry in 2012. Shortly after I attended Ross University in St. Kitts for veterinary school and finished my clinical year rotations at Texas A&M, graduating in September 2016.
I met my beautiful wife in veterinary school, and we decided to move to Arizona where she was born and raised. Outside of veterinary medicine, I love sports, music, reading, and spending time with family.

Dr. Paul Hindley
I was born in Liverpool, UK, and graduated from the University of Liverpool with a bachelor of veterinary science degree in 2010. I then went on to complete my ECFVG certificate and the NAVLE shortly after.
After 5 years in a busy Liverpool small animal practice, my wife and I moved to Arizona in October 2015 with our two rescue cats, Jet and Cocco. My interests include small animal internal medicine and medical oncology. In our spare time we are enjoying discovering all that Arizona, and the USA have to offer.

Dr. Matthew Reed
I was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas! I attended the University of Kansas to receive my degree in accounting. While an undergraduate student, I began working at a small animal practice in Leawood, Kansas, which allowed me to find my passion for veterinary medicine. I stayed in my home state and earned my DVM at Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2019. Clinically, I am interested in dentistry, anesthesia, and cardiology.
Life outside of being a veterinarian is spent with my wife, Megan, and our lab mixes, Ace and Sunshine. I enjoy walking my pups, running, hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to meeting your pets very soon!

Dr. Jennifer Urda
I grew up in Port St. John, Florida. I graduated from Becker College with a bachelor’s in veterinary science and went on to earn my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University. My experience before joining the AZPetVet family includes working at Pet Alliance of Orlando (formerly the SPCA of Central Florida, an animal shelter), and interning at the Houston Zoo for the Attwater's Prairie Chicken conservation project. My specific areas of interest include feline, avian/exotics, teaching, and anatomic pathology. The most rewarding part of being a veterinarian for me is building a relationship with my clients and their pets, helping to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Leslie Ballard
I’m originally from Albuquerque, NM, and started out my veterinary career volunteering at an SPCA in West Seneca, NY. While in veterinary school I worked for Shelter Outreach Services, which provides spay/neuter services to animals from a variety of backgrounds (shelters, low-income, and feral/community cats). A professional passion of mine is to increase access to veterinary care, and to promote wellness care and preventative medicine so that families and pets can have as much quality time together as possible. A rewarding part of being a veterinarian is witnessing how small changes to an animal's lifestyle or a single procedure can change an animal's quality of life for the better. It's amazing how only a few minutes or hours of our time can completely alter the life of an animal!
I have two cats of my own. Simpson is 11 years old, and Gato is approximately 17 years old; he was an unexpected surprise from my clinical rotation in Shelter Medicine during the fall of 2020! I also have a Ball Python named Pablo. I really enjoy the great outdoors, especially hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing. I'm looking forward to exploring all the beautiful landscape that Arizona has to offer.
